1. Citizen Reporting Data Collection

When utilizing the Citizen Reporting Portal (to report standing water, abandoned tires, or dead birds), the LCMN collects geographical coordinates and site descriptions. Personal identification (name and phone number) is strictly optional.

Data Usage: This data is used exclusively to dispatch epidemiological survey teams, map localized vector outbreaks, and coordinate with the Florida Department of Health. We do not sell, lease, or distribute citizen reporting data to commercial pest control companies or third-party marketing agencies.

2. Environmental Regulatory Compliance

All public health advisories, source reduction guidelines, and spray reviews published by the LCMN Advisory Board are developed in strict compliance with the statutes set forth by:

  • The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations regarding pesticide runoff and aquifer contamination.
  • The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) guidelines for Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
  • The University of Florida IFAS Extension entomological recommendations for the protection of native Gulf Coast pollinators.
